fall guide to managing PCOS 🍂
fall can be hard w PCOS bc of managing insulin resistance + still enjoying our fav treats, meals, parties & traditions etc.
you don’t have to give these things up tho!! There are simple, realistic things you can do to balance your blood sugar, keep inflammation down, & still enjoy fall 🫶🏻
here are some realistic tips for managing insulin resistance while eating sweets, carb heavy meals, & going to parties 🤭
- eat a meal before eating treats
- use supplements like berberine, chromium, digestive bitters, inositol or apple cider vinegar before meals or treats
- go on a walk after a carb heavy meal
- balance your plate with protein, healthy fats, & veggies
- magnesium & inositol before bed
the key here is not feel guilty about it. When we feel guilty we tend to shame ourselves and it’s easier to fall off from our good habits!
like daily movement, quality sleep, & consistent, balanced meals! With the days getting shorter, colder, and darker make sure to still move your body, prioritize sleep, and connect with friends/loved ones! These basic healthy habits will help your hormone balance significantly!!🥹
If symptoms do flare up, come back to the basics and nourish your body 🤎
hope this helps xx
