Masala Egg Shakshuka 🤍✨
When your husband calls you his Masterchef!!! 🧿🥰
Masala Egg Shakshuka : One pan, 15 minutes, pure comfort.
1 tbsp olive oil/ Butter
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
• crushed tomatoes (or fresh tomato puree)
• 1 tsp paprika
• ½ tsp cumin
• ½ tsp chili flakes/ chilli oil (adjust to taste)
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 3–4 eggs
• Fresh cilantro or parsley
• Spinach
Method
1. Heat olive oil / butter in a pan. Sauté onion until soft.
2. Add garlic. Cook 2–3 minutes.
3. Stir in tomatoes, paprika, cumin, chili oil , salt, and pepper.
4. Simmer 5–7 minutes until thick and saucy.
5. Make small wells and crack eggs into the sauce.
6. Cover and cook until egg whites set but yolks stay runny.
7. Finish with herbs, sesame seeds, basil leaves. Serve hot with bread or pita.
