Day 14: 75 Soft Challenge
-75oz Water
I went on a picnic! I brought my water bottle. Honestly, it was completely neglected. We ended up drinking a lot of juice and matcha. (He had made some for us.) I wanted to drink water when I got home. I was honestly so tired that I didn’t.
-7k Steps 🚶♀️
I took the guy to the riverside. We walked around it for ages finding a good picnic spot (that didn’t have geese poop.)
-Portion Control 🥗
We had homemade sandwiches. One each but then we got hungry later that night and split half of one. We shared a fruit platter. I felt pretty satisfied and not stuffed.
-Skincare ❤️
Since I put makeup on, I make sure I soaked my face more to remove it and also the grime of the day. I made sure to moisturize that night.
-Read 30 mins 📖
I read a couple chapters of this book I had gotten from a tiktok mystery book bundle. It’s Greek Mythology related and I honestly like it. A mix of dark romance and family dynamics.
Taking part in the 75 Soft Challenge not only boosts your physical health but also encourages a balanced lifestyle that nurtures mental well-being. Drinking 75 ounces of water daily is essential for hydration, but it’s common to deviate sometimes, especially during relaxing outings like picnics where other beverages like juice or matcha tea often tempt us. To stay on track, consider bringing a reusable water bottle filled with your favorite infused water to sip throughout the day. This can keep hydration enjoyable even outside the home. Aside from hydration, meeting step goals—as seen by walking over 7,000 steps by the riverside—has significant benefits. Walking outdoors, especially near water, can reduce stress and improve mood, beyond the physical rewards. To avoid nuisances like geese droppings, plan your routes or picnic spots ahead using apps or local community tips for cleaner, more enjoyable areas. Portion control plays a pivotal role in maintaining energy without feeling overly full or lethargic. Sharing food like homemade sandwiches and fruit platters, as mentioned, supports mindful eating by encouraging moderation and variety. Preparing balanced meals with protein, healthy fats, and fiber can help prolong fullness and stabilize energy levels. Skincare routines during the challenge should adapt to lifestyle changes. Thoroughly cleansing after wearing makeup, especially after outdoor activities, helps remove dirt and pollution that accumulate during the day. Moisturizing afterward seals in hydration, protecting skin health. Finally, carving out time for reading enriches your mental and emotional wellness. Engaging with a good book, such as one blending Greek mythology with mystery and dark romance, can stimulate imagination and provide a welcome mental break. Allocating even 30 minutes daily to reading or similar hobbies complements the physical aspects of the challenge, promoting holistic self-care. Incorporating these elements into everyday life ensures the 75 Soft Challenge evolves beyond a short-term goal into sustainable habits that nurture both body and soul.
