Girls… is birth control really worth it???

as someone who’s been on birth control for over a year now, in my experience of being on it i would say that birth control is 100% worth it! The pros that i have faced are me not having any more terrible cramps while on my period! and i rarely never have my period as well!! But if you are looking into birth control always talk to your doctor so you can be put on the healthiest option for your body! I do prefer the pill (you take every day at the same time). Instead of other ways of birth and control just because this way is much more simpler.

... Read moreWhen considering birth control, it's important to recognize that experiences can vary widely based on the method chosen and individual health factors. Many people choose the birth control pill for its simplicity, like taking it daily at the same time, which helps regulate hormones and reduce menstrual symptoms such as severe cramps. Additionally, many users report experiencing lighter or fewer periods, greatly improving their quality of life. However, birth control is not solely about preventing pregnancy; it can also positively affect hormonal balance and gut health, as referenced by the hashtag #girlyguthealth. Hormonal changes can influence digestion and overall wellbeing, and for some, certain birth control types alleviate discomfort related to these areas. It is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any form of birth control. They can help identify the best option tailored to your body's needs and monitor for any adverse effects. Besides the pill, there are other methods like implants, patches, and IUDs, each with pros and cons. The choice depends on lifestyle, health history, and personal preference. Moreover, understanding how birth control interacts with your body can empower you to manage your reproductive health better. Many find that, beyond contraception, birth control provides relief from premenstrual syndrome, acne, and menstrual migraines, fostering improved mental and physical health. If you are hesitant about whether birth control is right for you, seek advice from trusted medical sources and support communities like #girlpov to hear diverse real-life experiences. Keeping an open dialogue can help you make an informed decision and feel confident about managing your girl health effectively.

I love it but there are some down falls I’ve been on it since 12 I have endo and pcos, I started out with the pill and liked it but it was hard to take it everyday. I also got the depo shot at 18 and hated that but now I have the iud it’s amazing I got the non hormonal one because my hormones are already messed up as it is, I didn’t gain weight on it but I did get a little bit of acne in the first 3 months but it’s been fine ever since almost coming up on 2 years on it.

Does birth control reduce our sexiness?
Hear me out… out of all the stages in our menstrual cycle ovulation is the one where we not only feel the sexiest, but look the sexiest. Our bodies are the strongest, our hair falls the best, our skin looks the best, and this is all a biological way of us attracting a man for reproduction. Ovul

• Before Birth Control😖: At the age of 15, I started to have very severe acne. Over 100+ pimples and pustules on my face at one time. I remember I would wake up everyday with 3-4 pimples on my face… and it was devastating. 😖 As I got older (I’m in my 30s now), my acne became less severe. But I
