banana bread muffin recipe

A recipe so easy that anyone can make it! This is my favorite sweet treat to make and also my mom’s because she asks me to make this every time she buys bananas.

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas

2 cups of flour

1 cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 stick of butter (melted)

2 large eggs

1 tbsp milk

chocolate chips

Directions:

This is a banana bread loaf recipe that I make as muffins because it’s easier to grab and go. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes for muffins or 325° for 1 hour in a loaf pan.

I love baking these muffins because they’re moist, flavorful, and portable—perfect for busy mornings or a quick afternoon pick-me-up. The combination of ripe bananas, cinnamon, and chocolate chips gives these muffins a comforting, sweet taste that feels both nostalgic and fresh. One tip I've found helpful is to ensure your bananas are very ripe, with dark spots on the peel, to maximize natural sweetness and moisture. When mixing the wet and dry ingredients, be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine and help keep the muffins tender. You can also customize this recipe by adding walnuts or pecans for a crunchy texture or using a mix of white and whole wheat flour for added nutrition. Baking in muffin tins instead of a loaf pan not only shortens the baking time but makes portioning easy—ideal for families or meal prep. Overall, this banana bread muffin recipe is a crowd-pleaser that requires basic kitchen staples and offers a cozy treat anytime. Whether you're a beginner baker or someone looking for a reliable dessert recipe, these muffins fit the bill perfectly.
