Shave Routine
Here is my routine for shave day and how I achieve super soft legs.
Step 1. Exfoliate. You can exfoliate before of after. I like to do before.
Step 2. Shave Cream. Find a shave cream that you like. The EOS shave cream is definitely my favorite
Step 3. Grab a good razor. Not a cheap one that will leave a bunch of cuts on you
Step 4 and 5. Moisture Moisture Moisture…… I use the EOS body cream and then follow up with an oil to lock in that moisture
While my shaving routine gives me super soft legs in a pinch, I totally get that shaving isn't for everyone, or maybe you're just looking for longer-lasting smoothness without the daily hassle. I've been there, constantly searching for the best ways to keep my legs feeling smooth without reaching for a razor every other day. If you're wondering how to remove leg hair without shaving, you're in luck! There are actually a ton of great options out there, each with its own perks. One popular method is waxing. Whether you go to a salon or try an at-home kit, waxing pulls the hair out from the root, meaning your legs stay smooth for weeks. I've found it's super important to exfoliate a day or two before waxing to prevent ingrown hairs and get the best results. Yes, it can sting a bit, especially the first couple of times, but the feeling of those super smooth legs afterwards is totally worth it for me. After waxing, I always make sure to moisturize really well, sometimes even using a little COCO-infused body butter to soothe my skin. Then there's sugaring, which is quite similar to waxing but often considered gentler, especially for sensitive skin. The paste is made from natural ingredients like sugar, lemon, and water, and it adheres only to the hair, not the skin, making the removal less irritating. You can even try making a sugaring paste at home if you're feeling adventurous! Many people swear by sugaring for achieving really soft, hair-free skin without the redness sometimes associated with waxing. For those who prefer a pain-free and quick solution, depilatory creams are a good option. These creams dissolve the hair just below the skin's surface. It’s super important to always do a patch test first to make sure you don't have a reaction, as some people can be sensitive to the chemicals. I find they’re great for a quick fix if I’m in a rush, but the hair tends to grow back a bit quicker than with waxing or sugaring. Epilation is another fantastic choice for long-lasting results. An epilator is a device that plucks multiple hairs out at the root simultaneously. It can be a little painful initially, similar to waxing, but you get used to it over time. The biggest advantage is that you can do it yourself whenever you need to, and the hair grows back finer and sparser over time. It’s definitely an investment upfront, but it pays off in convenience and weeks of smooth skin. Finally, for a more permanent reduction in hair growth, you might consider laser hair removal. This is a bigger commitment, requiring several sessions, but it can significantly reduce hair growth, meaning less maintenance in the long run. It works by targeting the hair follicles with light, damaging them so they can't grow back. It's usually done professionally and can be a bit costly, but imagine never having to worry about leg hair again! No matter which method you choose, remember that post-hair removal care is key to keeping your legs super soft and smooth. Always moisturize religiously, and keep up with gentle exfoliation a few times a week to prevent ingrown hairs. Finding the right routine for your skin type and lifestyle might take a little experimenting, but the journey to consistently smooth legs is definitely worth it!
