Incorporating fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins into your diet can therefore improve your energy efficiency and capacity. Additionally, it's valuable to understand how your body uses food energy. The thermic effect of food (TEF) plays a role here; this is the energy required to digest and metabolize the food you eat. By choosing foods that require more energy to process—such as those high in fiber—you can boost your metabolism and enhance weight management. Small changes like these can lead to significant improvements in energy levels and health over time.
