... Read moreOh my goodness, I'm still on cloud nine! When I saw that email, that one email confirming 'I got accepted into nursing school,' I literally burst into tears of joy. It felt like an eternity waiting for it, and then suddenly, it was real. Thank you God, for truly showing out. It wasn't just an acceptance; it was validation for all the late nights, the sacrifices, and the moments of doubt I pushed through. This nursing journey has been a marathon, not a sprint, and finally getting the green light feels incredible. For anyone out there dreaming of becoming a future nurse, I want to share a little bit about what helped me get here. First, don't underestimate preparation. I spent months honing my application, making sure every essay reflected my passion and commitment. Researching different programs and understanding their specific requirements was key. I know it can feel overwhelming, but breaking it down into smaller steps made it manageable. For example, I created a checklist of all prerequisites, application deadlines, and recommendation letter requirements, ticking them off one by one. I even practiced interview questions with a friend, which really boosted my confidence when the actual interview came around. The waiting period was probably the hardest part. There were days I felt so discouraged, wondering if I was even good enough or if my application stood out. But I kept reminding myself of why I wanted this. My desire to care for others, to make a real difference in people's lives, was my constant motivation. Leaning on my support system, whether it was my family or a study group, made all the difference. They were the ones who reminded me to keep pushing when I felt like giving up, offering encouragement and a listening ear. It's so vital to have people who believe in you during tough times. If you're an aspiring LPN student or aiming for any nursing program, my biggest advice is to stay persistent and believe in yourself. Even if you face rejection – which many do – use it as fuel to improve. Get feedback on your application, strengthen your weaknesses, and don't be afraid to reapply. Your dream is worth fighting for. I truly believe that if you put in the work and maintain that faith and focus, your moment will come. And when that acceptance letter finally comes, the feeling is absolutely electrifying, making every struggle worth it. Now that I've been accepted into nursing school, the real work begins! I'm already diving into preparing for what's next. I've started looking into textbooks, researching the best scrubs, and trying to connect with current students to get a head start on what to expect. There's so much to learn, from anatomy to clinical skills, and I'm just soaking it all in. It's exhilarating to think about the knowledge I'll gain and the skills I'll develop that will allow me to truly help those in need. This is more than just a degree; it's a calling, and I'm so ready to answer it. To everyone chasing their goals: keep going. Your moment is coming. And when it does, it's truly a 'Thank You God!' moment that you'll remember forever. Believe me, that moment when you realize 'I got accepted into nursing school' is absolutely priceless!
