💬 Comments: There has been another development. I've decided to weigh the feeds... this time there was way more starter than I've ever had and by the time I fed it, it was very liquid-y compared to prior feeds... it was also very pungent! almost burned my nose hairs, lol, so I'm crossing my fingers it just meant it's hungry!

I keep seeing other people with much better luck and it does make me feel a bit impatient, I will keep trying but DARN IT I just want to make bread! with the weighed feeds I may decide to go back to every day instead of every other. Here's to hoping it rises soon!

However, patience is key; sourdough developing can take time, and minor deviations in smell and texture shouldn't discourage you from your goal of baking delicious bread. Tips for Managing Your Sourdough Starter: 1. **Monitor Smell and Texture**: A pungent aroma often indicates a hungry starter, but it’s also important to ensure it isn't too liquid. 2. **Weighing Feeds**: Utilizing a kitchen scale can help you avoid inconsistencies that arise from using volume measurements. 3. **Be Patient**: Every starter behaves differently.
