Today is Day 1 of my 75 Soft journey — 75 days of faith, discipline, healing, and grace 💗

Here’s what I’m committing to:

💧 Drink half my body weight in water

🥗 Eat clean — no sweets, fast food, or alcohol

🚫 No unnecessary spending

🚶🏽‍♀️ 30-minute walk every day

🏋🏽‍♀️ Gym 3x a week

📖 Read 1 chapter of the Bible daily

🙏🏽 Prayer before checking my phone

🎶 Listen to gospel or uplifting music

🎧 One podcast a day

🧠 Check in with myself & the people I love

👩‍👧‍👦 Spend quality time with my kids

📺 Watch a sermon daily

🌿 Get outside and enjoy fresh air

🧖🏽‍♀️ Daily self-care

📓 Journal and write affirmations daily

I’m balancing all of this while being a full-time mom and nursing student — and I’m so ready to walk in alignment with who God is calling me to be. I’ll be sharing weekly updates here 💕

For me, as a busy mom and nursing student, the 'soft' version felt much more attainable and sustainable. It allows for flexibility while still building incredible discipline. Instead of rigid rules that might lead to burnout, the 75 Soft encourages you to define what 'clean eating' or 'exercise' means for your body and your life. It's about progress, not perfection, and truly integrating healthier habits into your everyday, rather than a crash course. It’s about finding a rhythm that supports your long-term well-being, both physically and spiritually. One of the cornerstones of my challenge, and something I know many of you are interested in, is incorporating 'daily scripture.' This isn't just about ticking a box; it's about nurturing my spirit, especially during stressful times. I find immense strength in verses like 'God is within her. She will not fail. Psalm 46:5.' Repeating this to myself throughout the day, especially when I feel overwhelmed with schoolwork or mom duties, reminds me of my inherent strength and divine support. It's a powerful affirmation that keeps me grounded. If you're looking to start, don't feel pressured to read an entire book of the Bible at once. I started with a chapter a day, but even a single verse or a short devotional can make a huge difference. There are many fantastic apps and online resources that offer daily scripture readings with insightful reflections, which can be a great starting point if you're new to integrating faith into your daily routine. It’s about creating a consistent connection, cultivating that quiet time, and allowing God's word to speak to your heart, not about the quantity you consume. Balancing all these commitments – from drinking half my body weight in water to daily self-care and quality time with my kids – is definitely a juggle, and some days feel like a marathon! My biggest tip for successfully integrating these new habits into an already packed schedule is to start small and stack them. For instance, my prayer before checking my phone naturally flows into reading my daily Bible chapter. My 30-minute walk often happens while listening to an uplifting podcast or gospel music, turning two tasks into one mindful experience. Look for those natural overlaps in your day where you can weave in a new habit without feeling like you're adding another overwhelming item to your to-do list. And remember, grace is absolutely key in the '75 Soft Challenge.' Some days will be smoother than others. There might be days when the walk gets cut short, or you can only squeeze in a few verses instead of a full chapter. The 'soft' aspect means I can learn from a missed step and get right back on track the next moment, without feeling like I've completely failed the entire challenge. It’s not about perfection; it’s about persistence and self-compassion. This journey is truly about cultivating faith, discipline, healing from past habits or mindsets, and embracing grace in every aspect of my life. It’s about embracing the process, continuous growth, and trusting that, just as Psalm 46:5 reminds us, 'God is within me; I will not fail.' This challenge is building a foundation of sustainable wellness that I know will extend far beyond the 75 days, transforming not just my habits, but my entire outlook.
