Goodbye Birth Control!!

After 17 long years on the pill I am finally getting off of them at 31 years old. I am ready to get my body back to normal and excited to share my journey

1/3 Edited to

... Read moreHaving been on birth control for nearly two decades, I understand how daunting it can be to stop and face the changes your body undergoes. For me, the decision was driven by a desire to return to a hormone-free state and gain a deeper connection with my natural cycle. In the months following quitting, I noticed some irregularities like unpredictable periods and mood fluctuations, which are common withdrawal symptoms. To help my body adjust, I focused on adopting natural methods such as tracking basal body temperature, cervical mucus, and cycle days to understand my fertility patterns better. Additionally, I incorporated supplements like vitamin B6 and magnesium to support menstrual cycle regularity and ease cramps, which helped alleviate some discomfort during the transition. Regular moderate exercise and a balanced diet also played a crucial role in normalizing my hormonal balance. I found reading through community blogs and comment threads from women who stopped the pill years ago very reassuring, as they shared practical tips and emotional support. Engaging with others on natural birth control methods helped me feel empowered and confident in managing my health without hormonal contraceptives. Overall, stepping off birth control after so many years was a big change but an empowering journey to reconnect with my body’s natural rhythms and understand its needs better.

Does birth control reduce our sexiness?
Hear me out… out of all the stages in our menstrual cycle ovulation is the one where we not only feel the sexiest, but look the sexiest. Our bodies are the strongest, our hair falls the best, our skin looks the best, and this is all a biological way of us attracting a man for reproduction. Ovul

What Birth Control did to my skin!😭
• Before Birth Control😖: At the age of 15, I started to have very severe acne. Over 100+ pimples and pustules on my face at one time. I remember I would wake up everyday with 3-4 pimples on my face… and it was devastating. 😖 As I got older (I’m in my 30s now), my acne became less severe. But I
