I'm taking it slow. At least that's what I'm telling myself for the time being. This past week was pretty rough for me mentally. However, this weekend made me realize that my mental health has reached a new low. The fall blues sure got to me and it sucks because aside from spring, fall is my 2nd favorite season.

This past weekend I hungout with an old friend, who I'm even surprised has been my friend despite me not keeping in touch all the time. I'm the type of person that will distance themselves from everything once I feel overwhelmed or get depressed. I guess I just don't like to bother others with my problems, so I isolate myself until I've solved them or feel better. In this case, I'm still dealing with it.

We went to eat Korean bbq, which is my favorite! I haven't gone since my breakup and it tasted just as good as I remembered. Catching up was really fun too, because I haven't spoken to anyone in a while, so just talking to someone other than my dog was nice. Haha.

I've lost my spark, but I will get it back at some point. It's just going to take me a while. I felt like a couple months ago I was doing so good and then I got triggered and relapsed back into my depression. I just have to take things one step at a time. Maybe one day, I'll feel happy without the feeling fading.

Thanks to catching up with this friend, I finally started cleaning "The depression room," a.k.a my bedroom. My clothes are no longer on the floor, my stuff isn't on what was my ex's side of my bed, and I've decided to keep at it until it starts to resemble my room and not an episode of extreme hoarders. lol.

My goals for this upcoming month are to 1) make it to work on time (Thanks depression). 2) Put myself out there more often & take myself on solo dates/go exploring places around my state. 3) Learn to be content being on my own. 4) Start saving up for Christmas presents for my family. 5) Start going to the gym twice a week. 6) Get back in touch with people I've distracted myself from. 7) Find my spark, slowly but surely. 8) Get back into arts & crafts (even if I'm not the best at them) 😅

I just moved into my new apartment literally the day after new years. And with the millions of changes happening in my life it put me in a state of depression. This is nothing that’s new to me. Change can be hard for me, and this is my first time moving to my own apartment and finally living alone.
