starting my goals a month before the new year rush with a new gym and a new workout plan. one of the biggest challenges when starting your fitness journey is finding that consistent routine that mirrors your goals. here’s some tips to start:

1. find what you want to accomplish from the gym: endurance? strength? weight loss? weight gain? sport specific? the list is endless.

2. adding exercises based off functional movements: push, pull, hinge

3. research exercises (favorite websites for me are Reddit + muscle wiki) AND trial them at the gym to find what movement feels right with you.

4. log your workouts to track your progress.

For each exercise I do 4 sets until failure. I aim for a weight that’s light enough to keep correct form, but heavy enough to reach failure without a ton of reps. When I’m finished lifting I walk on the treadmill inclined for 30-45 minutes! Day 6 and 7 are active rest days! #gymgirlessen
