1. Do not sleep immediately. 😴
Sleeping immediately after a meal causes gastric acid to flow back up, increasing the risk of acid reflux and causing bloating.
⏱ At least 30-60 minutes before bed.
2. Avoid heavy exercise. 🏃
The body is digesting. Blood goes to the stomach. If you exercise hard immediately, it can cause colic or abdominal pain.
3. Don't shower immediately. 🚿
Bathing (especially warm water) will cause more blood to flow to the skin, possibly slowing down digestion.
⏱ should wait about 30 minutes.
4. Avoid tea / coffee immediately. ☕
Tea and coffee contain tannins, may interfere with iron absorption from food, especially in people at risk of iron deficiency anemia.
5. Don't smoke. 🚬
Smoking after a meal is reported to cause the body to absorb more toxins, and increase risk, lung cancer and other diseases.
6. Avoid eating fruit immediately. 🍉
Some fruits digest faster than the main food; if eaten immediately, they can cause gas or bloating.
⏱ It is recommended to eat after a meal for 30-60 minutes.
