Top Tips for Beginner Crocheters
There's so much advice out there for new crocheters but these are my five most important top tips if you want to learn crochet:
1. Start by using patterns that include video tutorials, this will teach you to follow patterns while giving you the tools you need to learn new techniques!
2. Make your first project with chunky yarn and a big hook for the satisfaction of having a finished project so much faster.
3. Find a project you're passionate about to learn with even if it's a little more advanced, there's nothing worse than losing the drive because you're bored.
4. Weaving in the ends is important, don't ignore learning how. The ends are literally helping to hold your project together!
5. Cut out the factory knots! I know it's tempting to ignore them but they'll end up unravelling and ruining your project. Save the heartache, cut them out and add in the rest of the yarn as if it's a new skein.
