When we age, metabolic rate slows down and hormonal shifts can affect energy levels, muscle mass, and fat storage. Incorporating strength training into your routine is key to overcoming these challenges. Resistance exercises stimulate muscle growth, which in turn boosts resting metabolism and enhances fat burning. Moreover, building muscle improves functional strength and overall vitality. Nutrition plays a vital role in body recomposition. Rather than restrictive dieting, focus on hormone-friendly nutrition that supports muscle repair and fat loss. This includes consuming adequate protein, healthy fats, and nutrient-dense foods, while managing carbohydrate intake to optimize energy and hormone function. Hydration and sleep quality also support this balance. Clothing saved “for when I’m skinny again” can create a mental barrier to appreciating and supporting your ongoing transformation.
