First-time poster on Lemon8. Sharing my fitness journey. This is Day 1 of my updated fitness routine and diet. I'm insulin-resistant and have been on GLP-1 medication (Zepbound/Tirzepatide) for 2 going on 3 weeks. Stay tuned.

Starting a fitness journey can be daunting, but with the right mindset and tools, it can also be incredibly rewarding. On Day 1, I embraced a structured fitness routine while keeping track of my caloric intake, which was approximately 1,374.5 kcal. My meals were balanced, focusing on high protein sources such as eggs, chicken, and protein supplements. Maintaining a nutritious diet while managing insulin resistance is essential. My diet included a combination of lean proteins, healthy fats, and fiber-rich vegetables. Foods like broccoli and peppers not only provide essential vitamins but also help regulate blood sugar levels. It's vital to incorporate snacks that support energy levels and muscle recovery; for instance, and the addition of collagen peptides in my smoothie supports skin elasticity and joints. As I continue this journey, I plan to share more about my experiences with GLP-1 medications like Zepbound and Tirzepatide, which are helping many navigate their weight loss goals safely.
