PCOS or PMOS whatever you want to call it, doesn’t have to define your life. There is a ~20 lbs difference in these videos. Has it taken a long time? Yes. Do I have a long way to go? Also, yes. The time will pass anyways. You are worth it.
Doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you’re consistent. I started just walking. Then I added my Peloton back in. Then I added strength training. Now I dabble in some jogging. I cycle through what I’m doing. If walking feels too hard, I jump on the peloton. If I get burned out on that I do something else, but always do something. I prioritize protein, fiber, and water. I get 10-12k steps a day.
But I started just walking a little more then I did before. No diet change at first. It is okay to start slow. Baby steps are still steps.
Living with PCOS can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to weight loss, but I've found that embracing slow and sustainable progress truly makes a difference. Starting with just increasing my daily steps was manageable and didn’t demand drastic changes. Over time, incorporating different activities like Peloton rides, light jogging, and strength training kept my routine fresh and less monotonous. This variety also helped me stay motivated, reducing burnout. Nutrition-wise, focusing on protein, fiber, and hydration made a noticeable impact on my energy levels and appetite control without feeling restrictive. Getting 10-12k steps per day became a realistic goal that I could celebrate achieving consistently, which truly boosted my confidence. What resonated most with me is the mindset shift—accepting that progress might be slow but consistent. The phrase “slow progress is sustainable progress” perfectly summarizes this journey. For anyone struggling with PCOS or PMOS, starting with baby steps rather than drastic changes is key. Each small effort compounds over time, and the time will pass regardless, so investing it in your health is worth it. Remember, consistency over intensity, and patience over perfection, is how lasting change happens.
