Does birth control make your hair fall out?

I've been on birth control for like 3-4 years and haven't had much problems and now all of a sudden my hair is falling out like crazy. LIKE CRAZZZYYY! I don't know if its the birth control or what it could be but I'm very concerned. I've done a lot of research on google but hair loss could be a lot of different things🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't use heat on my hair ever, I use a satin pillowcase, don't brush my hair when its wet, use leave in conditioner. I've tried so many things to try to help my hair and it still seems dry, brittle, and falling out constantly. My hair doesn't noticeably look thinner but that doesn't mean that much. I thought that maybe it was because I keep my hair up 95% of the time because I'm a nanny but i've been doing less tight and harmful hairstyles and still nothing. I think figuring out your hair type and how to take care of it is one of the hardest things to figure out. I’ve never been on birth control, but I have had instances where my hormones were a little wonky for a couple months & my hair did thin !!! Hormones, whether natural or artificial, can definitely affect hair. I hope you find a solution to your problem soon 🤗💖
