桃缶って果肉は食べるのに、シロップだけ残りがちでした…。でも紅茶と合わせると、甘み付けにも香り付けにもなって一気に「使い切り」できます。ここでは私がよくやる、桃缶シロップの扱い方と、桃ミルクティー／ミルクティージャムの失敗しないコツを補足します。 まず大事なのが「シロップの濃さ調整」。桃缶シロップは甘さが強いので、いきなり入れすぎると紅茶の渋みが消えてベタっとした味になりやすいです。私はグラス1杯（約200ml）なら、最初はシロップ大さじ1〜2からスタートして、足りなければ追加するやり方に落ち着きました。アイスなら氷で薄まるので少し多めでもOKです。 次に「桃ミルクティー」をおいしく作るコツ。ミルクを入れると香りがぼやけやすいので、紅茶は少し濃いめに淹れるのがポイントです。ティーバッグなら、規定より少なめのお湯でしっかり蒸らしてからミルクを足すと、桃の香りと紅茶感が両方残りました。桃缶の果肉は、全部入れるより“スプーンで軽くつぶした分＋角切りの食感”みたいに2種類にすると、飲んだときの満足感が上がります。 「ミルクティージャム レシピ」っぽくしたいときは、桃缶の果肉＋シロップを耐熱容器に入れて、レモン汁をほんの少し（数滴〜小さじ1/2くらい）足してレンジへ。酸味というより、甘さが締まって“ジャムっぽい香り”になります。加熱は一気にやらず、30秒→混ぜる→さらに30秒…のように様子見すると吹きこぼれにくいです。とろみが欲しい場合は、加熱後に少し冷ますと自然に濃くなります。 最後に保存。作った桃ジャムは清潔な容器に入れて冷蔵で2〜3日を目安に使い切り。余った桃缶シロップは、炭酸＋紅茶に入れてピーチソーダにしたり、アイスティーの甘味料代わりにしたりすると本当に減りが早いです。 桃缶アレンジは、材料が少ないのに「ちゃんとカフェ感」が出るのが嬉しいところ。私は気分で、温かいミルクティー／冷たいセパレートティー／炭酸のピーチソーダをローテしてます。
