Comfort Soul Fish Bowl
1. Pan-Seared Fish
🐟 Fish Name: (Swai/Cod fillets) I used Swai.
🧂 Seasonings Used: Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper.
🌟Ingredients:
✨2 fish fillets (Tilapia or Swai)
✨1 tbsp olive oil or butter
✨1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
✨1/2 tsp garlic powder
✨1/2 tsp onion powder
✨1/2 tsp smoked paprika
✨Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Pat the fish fillets completely dry with a paper towel.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the Old Bay, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Season both sides of the fish evenly, gently pressing the spices into the flesh.
4. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
5. Place the fish in the hot skillet and sear for 3 to 4 minutes on the first side until golden-brown and a nice crust forms.
6. Carefully flip the fish and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until flaky and fully cooked through.
💕Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
Seasonings Used: Garlic powder, onion powder, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and a pinch of parmesan or brown sugar (optional).
🌟Ingredients:
✨1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
✨1 tbsp olive oil
✨1/2 tsp garlic powder
✨1/2 tsp onion powder
✨Salt and black pepper to taste
🌟Directions:
1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
2. In a bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
3. Transfer to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
4. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
🥔 Homemade Mashed Potatoes
🌟Ingredients:
✨3 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
✨4 tbsp unsalted butter
✨1/4 to 1/3 cup heavy cream or milk
✨2 cloves garlic (minced, optional) or garlic powder
✨Salt and black pepper to taste
💕Directions:
1. Place peeled and quartered potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes, or until fork-tender.
2. Drain the water completely and return the potatoes to the warm pot.
3. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or hand mixer.
4. Melt the butter and warm the cream/milk together, then gradually blend them into the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
5. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic to taste, mixing gently.
🌟Doctor-Up" Box Mac & Cheese
💕Ingredients:
✨1 box shell or macaroni cheese (like Velveeta Shells & Cheese or Kraft)
✨Milk and butter (as called for on the box instructions)
✨The "Doctor-Up" Add-ins: 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 2 tbsp cream cheese or sour cream, a pinch of garlic powder, and a dash of black pepper.
💕Directions:
1. Boil the pasta according to the box directions, then drain.
2. Return the warm pasta to the pot.
3. Stir in the included cheese sauce packet, along with the extra butter and milk called for.
4. Level it up: Whisk in the extra shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese (or sour cream), garlic powder, and black pepper until completely melted, creamy, and extra velvety.
