My High Protein Turkey Meatballs Recipe 😋
This is one of my favorite quick and delicious high protein dinners! Makes up a good amount depending on how big you roll your meatballs. I made them pretty large and got 9, so keep that in mind when baking!
And the secret ingredient is…. Greek yogurt! It adds protein and keeps them from drying out.
Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey breast
1 egg
1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
1/4 Greek yogurt
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Handful green onion, chopped
Handful fresh parsley, chopped
Measure as you wish of salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
2. Preheat the oven to 400°
3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease (I use avocado spray but you can use olive oil spray or whatever else you like)
4. Scoop and form meat into balls and place on the baking sheet
5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until meatballs are cooked through (less time if you make your meatballs smaller)
That’s it! Super simple, healthy, and tasty. I think using the fresh parsley and green onion adds alot to these meatballs. I paired mine with broccoli and a baked potato, but I’ve also used these instead of traditional meatballs in spaghetti and meatballs!
Let me know if you try them!

Turkey meatballs are a fantastic way to incorporate protein into your diet. Ground turkey is not only leaner than beef, but it's also rich in essential nutrients like B vitamins and selenium. Adding Greek yogurt not only enhances the texture of the meatballs but also elevates the protein content. As a versatile dish, these turkey meatballs can be served with a variety of sides such as steamed vegetables, whole grain pasta, or a fresh salad. You can also experiment with different seasonings or add ins like diced bell peppers or zucchini for extra flavor and nutrition. Keep in mind that cooking methods can also impact the healthiness of your meal; instead of frying, baking, as shown in the recipe, keeps the fat content lower while still achieving a satisfying texture. To enhance the taste further, consider making a homemade marinara sauce or dipping sauce that complements these nuggets of deliciousness. If you're ahead on meal prep, turkey meatballs freeze well, making them perfect for quick lunches or dinners on busy days. Enjoy experimenting with this adaptable recipe!
