this week our focus is on the word VALOR. if you haven't had a chance to exercise the prism prompt there's still time!
when was the last time you stood firm in the face of fear or uncertainty—choosing not to retreat?
in the Kingdom, that kind of courage is considered ‘valor.’
for many of us, the idea of valor is reserved for grand, heroic moments. but in the eyes of the Father, it often looks like the inner resolve of a daughter to keep going when life gets hard. it’s the quiet bravery that rises when no one else sees the cost. the kind that stays anchored in the middle of a storm. it’s not fueled by hype, but by His promises.
sometimes, valor looks like having the courage to fully show up, even when your mind is saying, “just shrink back.” it’s rooted in identity—knowing who you are, and who He is.
so… where in your life has fear or doubt tried to silence your voice? and what would it look like to meet those very places with valor?
this isn’t just about inner strength—it’s a posture of courageous faith. one that remembers: you weren’t made just to survive—you were made to overcome.
take a minute and ask Holy Spirit to show you how your identity in Christ empowers you to stand strong. then start a conversation with Jesus, using this verse:
You provide your people with valor; you make your people strong by your power to save… (2 Samuel 22:40, isv/nlt)
as you move through the week, walk boldly. embrace that brave posture. and remember: valor doesn’t require the absence of fear—just the choice to keep moving forward with courage, even when your heart trembles.

Read moreIn my own journey, I've found that valor isn't just about heroic moments that everyone can see; often, it’s the quiet, almost invisible determination to persevere when life feels overwhelming. I've experienced situations where fear whispered for me to retreat, yet choosing to show up fully, even when my heart was trembling, revealed a deeper strength rooted in faith.
What struck me most is how valor aligns with identity – knowing who you are in Christ gives you a backbone when uncertainty tries to shake you. It reminds me of the promise from 2 Samuel 22:40, encouraging us that God provides the strength and valor needed to face every battle.
Valor also means embracing small acts of courage daily—speaking up for yourself, making difficult decisions, or simply continuing to move forward despite doubts. These moments may go unnoticed by others, but they build resilience and deepen our trust in God’s power to save.
When fear attempts to silence your voice, reflect on how God’s promises empower you to stand firm. It’s not about the absence of fear but the choice to prioritize faith over hesitation.
I encourage you to take time each day to invite the Holy Spirit into your struggles, asking for the courage to embody valor—not in grand displays but in steadfast perseverance. This week, consider journaling where fear has held you back and visualize meeting those moments with God-given bravery.
Ultimately, valor is a posture of heart and spirit; it’s about living as an overcomer, not simply surviving. Trusting that with God’s strength, you are equipped to face storms with unwavering resolve can transform your perspective on challenges and inspire you to walk boldly in your daily life.
