Things I've realized as I get older✨️🌸💐🫶

1. It is ok to not eat all your food. my whole life ive tried to eat every last ounce of food on my plate because not eating it all makes me feel bad and i dont like wasting food. but it has in the past and sometimes still does cause me to gain a lot of weight. so eat what you know you can and dont force yourself to eat more than you can hold.🍽🩵

2. Home is for rest, sometimes it's a person. ive never done any sort of homework or work at home because i believe that home is home for a reason.i know covid is different, but work is for work and school is to be done at school in my certain situation in life. when i get home, i have other things worry about. whether that be a person, some rest or cleaning. do not overload yourself with so much work all the time it will drain you. 🏠🩷

3. I am more fond of my parents. in most cases I see friends come and go, but the one thing I've learned is when you have a good family, keep close to your family, because my family is my ride or die and always my #1 supporters. yes they give their opinions and try to help me do whats best but at the end of the day family is forever. but growing up living with them is different. if and when you move out, schedule once a week or at least 2 times a month visits. it is important to keep family close.👨‍👩‍👧‍👧💚

4. Sometimes, no make up is better. i have clear dry skin, and without using moisturizer or primer before makeup i will break out and my skin will crack. not wearing makeup even with acne is better. yes youre insecure but the key to healthy skin is to let your skin breathe and heal. if you do decide to use makeup try doing little to no make up everytime you use it. it is important to be happy with your own skin and to embrace your uniqueness. #useequateneosporin 🤎💄

5. Feel your feelings, do not suppress them. ive learned that suppressing my feelings can only ever make things in the future worse. holding them in for so long can cause you to at a point where even the tiniest inconvenience happens and all of those feelings come out at once and theres nothing you can do to stop them. feeling your feelings in the moment for me acts as a healing mechanism overtime. being more in touch with your feelings helps you care more for others and better understand what other are going through and how to help them. its also very good wife material.💛🔆

6. Sometimes, a break is needed /a reset. as a girl with ADHD, everything i do automatically needs more attention to detail and everything i do i have to work harder for because some concepts don't come naturally. it is important when you have a partner and your family members to be patient with you and for you to be patient with yourself even if you don't have ADHD. Women are on a 28 day cycle and we tend to need more rest than men, and we don't know when that rest will be needed. the key to good thought and happiness is rest. sometimes all you need is a day to reset and relax. 💜

7. Your relationship stays between the 2 of you. you do not ask friends for advice. Even when you feel like you hit a block in your relationship that you just cant seem to get around, working it out between the 2 of you is always the best and only option apart from couples therapy. talking and asking for advice from other friends in my case has only made things worse. what they say can effect how you think and decide things in your relationship. only you and your partner need to know about what goes between you too. when you work together and both really try, it is usually 99% of the time where things work out for the better. it can bring you closer, appreciate eachother more, and makes your love stronger. KEEP IT TO YOURSELFS.💗🤞

... Read moreAs we journey through life, the experiences we gather profoundly shape us. One essential lesson is recognizing that it's perfectly fine to leave food on your plate. This small act not only reduces wastage but also encourages mindfulness about hunger and health. Additionally, the significance of home extends beyond being a physical space; it can represent the people who provide comfort and support. Prioritizing personal connections fosters resilience and emotional health. Building close family relationships and setting aside quality time for them enhances the fabric of our lives. Living makeup-free can be liberating. Embracing our natural beauty, even amid insecurities, often leads to better skin health. Remembering to rest is vital, as everyone, especially women, may need downtime to recharge. Learning to acknowledge and process feelings can prevent overwhelming emotions later. Finally, keeping relationship challenges between partners, rather than soliciting outsiders' opinions, ensures stronger bonds and mutual understanding. The journey of growth often requires us to prioritize self-love, connection, and emotional well-being.

Things I realized as I grew older
