What I eat in a day for weight loss
I’m 3 years into my fitness journey, have lost over 130lbs, and work hard to maintain it. One thing that I thought in the beginning is if I ate less and went to the gym 6-7 days a week, then that’s how I would be able to lose weight.
When it’s actually quite the opposite, you don’t need to cut and restrict yourself or diet down. It’s all about creating a balance between the things you love and the things you need to eat.
I generally focus on high protein, low calorie, moderate carbs and lots of fruits and veggies. I know that eating right can be the hardest part 😭😭. Comment what other tips you’d like to see ✨

When planning your meals for weight loss, focusing on high-protein foods can be very beneficial. Proteins can promote satiety and help you feel fuller longer, reducing the chances of overeating. For breakfast, consider options like whole-grain toast topped with almond butter and a side of turkey sausage or eggs, both of which are excellent protein sources. Snacks play a crucial role too; healthy options like turkey jerky or low-calorie treats like fruit-flavored yogurt can satisfy cravings without piling on calories. For lunch, a balanced meal could include baked turkey sausage, colorful veggies, and a whole grain for added fiber. Incorporating spicy elements like jalapeños can enhance flavors without adding excessive calories. Dinner can be deliciously fulfilling without heavy calories by opting for lean meats like chicken and shrimp, paired with vegetables and brown rice or alternatives like cauliflower rice for a lower carb option. Lastly, don't forget to hydrate and include plenty of water intake throughout the day to support your metabolic processes and overall health! Experimenting with different meal prep ideas can help maintain variety in your diet while ensuring nutritional balance. Maintaining flexible eating habits is the key; you can enjoy the foods you love while also achieving your fitness goals.
