This is Honey Milk Lip Oil.
I found this on Aliexpress, so I'm not sure what brand this is. I had bought this before YEARS ago and loved it, but when I repurchased this one this was not the same kind of formula at all. I finished it because it wasn't terrible, but the scent wasn't even close to the same. I LOVE a big doe foot applicator, but this one was too big for the stopper. It got to the point where I had to remove the stopper entirely because the product wouldn't come out at all, the stopper would wipe it all off when I pulled the applicator out. There are SO many more affordable, amazing lip oils out there, you definitely don't need this low quality one. For being like under $1 it's not horrible. But it was not as hydrating as I like my lip oils to be. It felt like I needed to reapply this within 5 minutes. I will invest my money in quality lip oils from now on.
Okay, so you've probably seen those super affordable 'Honey Milk Lip Oil' options, maybe even with a cute bee design, popping up online. I totally get the appeal – who doesn't love a great deal? I actually bought one myself, hoping for that perfect hydrating, glossy finish. My first experience years ago was surprisingly good, which is why I decided to repurchase. But let me tell you, this second round was a completely different story, and it made me seriously rethink how I choose my lip products from now on. When my 'Honey Milk Lip Oil' arrived this time, I was immediately struck by how different it felt. That lovely, subtle scent I remembered was gone, replaced by something artificial and, frankly, unpleasant. But the biggest issue was the formula itself. It felt thinner, less nourishing, and just didn't deliver the hydration my lips crave. I found myself needing to reapply it every five minutes, which defeats the purpose of a good lip oil, right? And don't even get me started on the applicator! While I love a big, plush doe-foot, this one was so oversized for the tube that it would wipe off all the product when pulled out, making it practically unusable until I removed the stopper entirely. It was just a frustrating experience from start to finish. This whole experience really highlighted for me the risks of buying unbranded or inconsistent products, especially from marketplaces like AliExpress where quality can vary wildly. You might save a dollar or two upfront, but if the product doesn't perform, you're just wasting your money – and your time. A lip oil should be a treat, not a chore! It should glide on smoothly, provide lasting moisture, and leave your lips feeling pampered, not drier. So, what should you look for in a truly great lip oil? For me, it starts with the ingredients. I always check for nourishing oils like jojoba, squalane, argan, or even hyaluronic acid for that extra hydration boost. The texture is also key – I want something that feels luxurious, not sticky or heavy. And an applicator that actually works with the bottle? Absolutely essential! A well-designed doe-foot should pick up just enough product and allow for smooth, even application without any fuss. The scent should be light and pleasant, not overwhelming or chemical-smelling. My advice, based on personal experience and this 'product review' journey, is to invest a little more in quality. There are so many fantastic, affordable lip oils out there from reputable brands that consistently deliver. Do your research, read reviews (like this one!), and don't be afraid to splurge a tiny bit more for a product that will genuinely make your lips happy. After all, healthy, hydrated lips are always in style, and you deserve a lip oil that actually works for you!
