This is the Raw Sugar Lip Balm Lemon Sugar.
I did NOT finish this! I don't think I've ever hated a lip product more. I don't love chapsticks. This technically is a lip balm, but I would call this a chapstick. It is not hydrating at all. I hate the scent of this too, its disgusting. I tried to use this consistently and I just couldn't finish it. This is the only product from Raw Sugar I've tried and this did not leave me with a great impression of their brand.
Having tried various lip balms over time, I can relate to the frustration when a product doesn't meet expectations—especially with popular brands like Raw Sugar. Lip balms are meant to offer hydration and subtle fragrance, but when they feel like a chapstick without moisturizing benefits, it can be disappointing. From my personal experience, the scent of a lip balm plays a significant role; an unpleasant smell can discourage consistent use, which is crucial for overcoming dry lips. Additionally, if a lip balm lacks real hydration, it might even contribute to dryness or discomfort, making it counterproductive. I often look for ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, or natural beeswax to ensure lasting moisture. In this case, the Raw Sugar Lemon Sugar lip balm’s failure in both scent and hydration stood out as a clear downside. When choosing lip care products, I suggest testing a small amount first if possible, or reading multiple reviews to get a balanced view. It’s interesting that the Raw Sugar lip balm, despite its natural branding, left a negative impression in this instance. This highlights the importance of individual preferences and the subjective nature of product experiences. Always pay attention to what your lips actually need—some might find certain scents uplifting, while others might dislike them intensely. Overall, this review reinforces my approach to lip care: prioritize hydration, choose fragrances carefully, and never settle for products that disappoint consistently. Sharing our genuine product experiences helps others avoid disappointing purchases and find balms that truly nourish and protect.
