January Empties 34/37

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the SLMISSGLAM Heart Angled Blush Brush GB01. I got this at one point in my Ipsy bag. I really liked this brush! It was angled and perfect for blush or highlighter. It was super easy to wash and soft and fluffy, the bristles didn't stab me or feel rough on my face. The only reason I got rid of it is it finally fell apart when I was washing my makeup brushes. I've never tried anything else from this brand before, but this was a really nice, high quality brush! Unfortunately I can only find this on reseller websites, so I’m not sure if they make this anymore.

... Read moreIn my experience with makeup brushes, one of the most important features I look for is how gentle the bristles feel on the skin. The SLMISSGLAM Heart Angled Blush Brush stood out because it was exceptionally soft and fluffy, which made application comfortable and seamless. I’ve used several angled brushes before, but this one’s shape made it easy to apply both blush and highlighter precisely, without overdoing it. I also really appreciated how easy it was to clean—the bristles held up well against frequent washing without becoming rough or frayed. However, like many well-loved brushes, it did eventually fall apart from wear and tear, specifically when I was giving my brush collection a deep clean. This is a common issue with many makeup brushes, which makes finding a durable yet affordable brush somewhat challenging. Since the SLMISSGLAM brush has become harder to find new—mostly available through resellers—it’s a reminder to take extra care in cleaning techniques to prolong the life of your favorite tools. For example, using gentle brush cleansers and avoiding excessive scrubbing can help maintain the integrity of the bristles. If you’re looking for similar brush qualities, consider brands that prioritize soft synthetic or natural bristles combined with an ergonomic angled design. It’s also worth exploring subscription boxes like Ipsy, as they often introduce high-quality brushes from lesser-known brands, giving you a chance to try them without a large upfront investment. When choosing a blush or highlighter brush, keep in mind the balance between softness, shape, and how it feels against your skin for the best makeup application.
