Should the body normally eat bottle protein?
In general, ready-to-drink protein (bottle protein) does not cause kidney failure in people with normal kidneys and drink the right amount.
But there are the following precautions:
* People who already have kidney disease, taking too much protein can cause the kidneys to work harder. Consult a doctor or dietitian first.
* Drinking very high amounts of protein for long periods of time unnecessarily may increase the burden of kidney function, although there is no clear evidence of kidney failure in healthy people.
* Drink enough water and have a balanced diet, not relying primarily on bottle protein.
