No-Bake Banana Split Dessert

I don’t know about y’all, but warmer temperatures are headed to the South and I’m thinking summer treats. This creamy, fruity, no-bake dessert is a fun twist on a classic banana split! With a buttery graham cracker crust, layers of cream cheese filling, bananas, pineapple, and a fluffy whipped topping, it’s the perfect make-ahead treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

• Crust:

• 2 cups graham cracker crumbs

• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

• Filling:

• 1 (8-ounce) block plain cream cheese, softened

• 1/2 cup powdered sugar

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• 16 ounces Cool Whip, thawed (or 4 cups heavy whipping cream)

• 4 bananas, sliced

• 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained

• Toppings (optional but recommended!):

• Chopped walnuts or pecans

• Maraschino cherries

• Chocolate syrup

• Sprinkles

Instructions

1. Prepare the crust:

• Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.

• In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until well combined.

• Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish.

• Place in the fridge to set while preparing the filling.

2. Make the creamy layer:

• In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.

• If using Cool Whip: Gently fold in 8 ounces (half of the container) until combined.

• If making homemade whipped cream: Beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form (about 5 minutes), then fold in 2 cups of the whipped cream with the cream cheese mixture.

3. Assemble the layers:

• Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.

• Arrange the sliced bananas in a single layer on top.

• Evenly spread the drained crushed pineapple over the banana layer.

• Spoon the remaining Cool Whip or whipped cream over the pineapple layer and spread it smoothly.

4. Chill & serve:

• Cover with foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).

• Before serving, garnish with chopped nuts, maraschino cherries, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles for the full banana split experience!

• Slice and enjoy.

Best enjoyed within 2-3 days. Store covered in the fridge.
