จากประสบการณ์การอ่านหนังสือกับเนื้อหามากๆ หลายครั้งที่เรารู้สึกว่าข้อมูลเยอะจนจับไม่ถูกว่าจะเริ่มต้นยังไง หรือกังวลว่าต้องอ่านจนจบในเวลาสั้นๆ วิธีที่ผมมักใช้คือแบ่งเนื้อหาออกเป็นส่วนย่อยๆ เพื่อไม่ให้รู้สึกกดดันและทำให้สมองได้พักบ้างระหว่างช่วงพักผ่อน ผมจะเริ่มจากการอ่านผ่านๆ เพื่อเห็นภาพรวมก่อน จากนั้นค่อยช้าลงเพื่ออ่านเจาะลึกในส่วนที่สำคัญหรือยังไม่เข้าใจแบบโฟกัสเฉพาะจุด การรู้จักตัวเองว่าชอบวิธีเรียนแบบไหนเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญ เช่น บางคนจำได้ดีจากการอัดเสียงแล้วฟังซ้ำบางคนชอบทำสรุปเป็นกราฟหรือมายแมพ ผมพบว่าการเขียนสรุปสั้นๆ หลังอ่านแต่ละหัวข้อช่วยให้ความรู้คาอยู่ในความทรงจำมากขึ้น รวมถึงการใช้สื่อเสริมอย่างวิดีโอหรือชีทสรุปจะช่วยเพิ่มความเข้าใจอีกทางหนึ่ง สำหรับการจัดการความเหนื่อยล้าหรือหมดไฟอ่านหนังสือ เป็นสิ่งที่เจอบ่อยมากๆ ผมมักจะตั้งเป้าว่าวันนี้จะอ่านแค่บางส่วนก่อน ถ้าเบื่อหรือรู้สึกไม่อยากอ่านก็ค่อยๆ ลุกขึ้นทำกิจกรรมเบาๆ หรือเปลี่ยนบรรยากาศ การบังคับตัวเองให้อ่านนิดหน่อยแม้ในช่วงไม่มีแรงทำให้เกิดแรงจูงใจและไฟกลับมาพร้อมทำต่อ อีกเคล็ดลับสำคัญคือการทำแบบฝึกหัดหรือข้อสอบหลังอ่านบทเรียน เพราะวิธีนี้ไม่เพียงแต่ช่วยวัดระดับความเข้าใจแต่ยังช่วยให้จำเนื้อหาได้ดีเนื่องจากได้ทบทวนและประยุกต์ความรู้จริงจัง ส่วนการวางแผนอ่านอย่างสม่ำเสมอทุกวัน แม้ในปริมาณน้อยก็ช่วยให้สมองประมวลผลเนื้อหาได้ดีขึ้น และลดความเครียดกับการต้องอ่านเยอะในครั้งเดียว สุดท้าย หลีกเลี่ยงการเปรียบเทียบตนเองกับคนอื่น เพราะแต่ละคนมีวิธีการและความเร็วในการเรียนรู้ที่แตกต่างกัน การให้ความสำคัญกับการอ่านหนังสือให้มีคุณภาพและสนุกกับกระบวนการเรียนรู้ จะทำให้จำเนื้อหาได้แม่นและยั่งยืนจริงๆ
