Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Therapy

* 3/4 cup unsalted butter, browned and cooled

* 1 cup light brown sugar

* 1/4 cup white granulated sugar

* 1 large egg + 1 large egg yolk, room temperature

* 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract

* 2 cups all purpose flour

* 1 tsp baking soda

* 1 tsp salt

* Chocolate chips of choice, measure with the heart ❤️

Bake Temperature: 350F

Bake Time: 12 minutes

Chill Time: 30 minutes

1. To start, brown your butter in a saucepan on medium heat. Let your butter melt and simmer. Stir occasionally so butter does not stick and burn. As your butter continues to simmer, it will start to bubble up and have a nutty aroma. Once your butter appears to be browning, turn off heat. Keep stirring and take off heat. Let butter come to room temperature.

2. To a bowl, add flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3. Once butter is cooled, add to a bowl.

4. Add brown sugar and white sugar. Cream/whisk together for about 2 minutes.

5. Add your vanilla extract and egg + egg yolk.

6. Whisk in until combined.

7. Add your dry ingredients and fold into wet ingredients until cookie dough forms.

8. Add chocolate chips and fold into dough.

9. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

10. Scoop your cookie dough balls and place on baking sheet. Let your cookie dough chill in fridge for 30 minutes.

11. After 30 minutes, preheat oven to 350F.

12. Evenly spread your cookies out on baking sheet. Add extra chocolate chips on top.

13. Bake at 350F for 12 minutes.

14. Once your cookies are done, let cool for 10 minutes or enjoy them warm 🍪❤️
