I have a surgery coming up on march 5th so I made a Amazon list of supplies I needed, everything really tight for me and my family as we are in the process of moving and getting me more stable health wise. Since December I have been bed bound and under heavy sedation to keep me Comfortable through all the pain I’m experiencing. The medication definitely helps but also knock me, it’s been an adjustment so any help would be much appreciated!
I miss yall and love you guys so much 🫂❤️ and an extra thank you for everyone who’s already gotten me stuff to help me be more comfortable🤲🏻❤️ #healingjourney #unboxing
Preparing for surgery amid the challenges of moving and health instability is incredibly demanding. From my personal experience, having a well-organized list of recovery supplies can significantly ease the first weeks after surgery. Items like post-shoulder surgery tanks, comfortable fleece zip-ups, and soft plush hoodies have been absolute essentials for me, providing comfort when mobility is limited. Heavy sedation can be disorienting, but medications are vital for pain management. I found that preparing the environment beforehand—like setting up easy-to-reach water bottles, charging devices, and entertainment options—helps maintain both physical and mental well-being during recovery. Having close family support and thoughtful gifts not only lifts spirits but also addresses practical needs, reminding me I’m not alone in this journey. For anyone who may be facing similar experiences, I recommend making an Amazon list early and sharing it with your support network to reduce last-minute stress. Recovery is a gradual process; focusing on small daily improvements can motivate you to stay positive. Healing isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, and staying connected with loved ones, even virtually, can make a big difference. Stay strong and keep sharing your journey.
