it’s july but my brain says it’s fall 🧸🌟🍂🎃🍁

2025/7/3 Edited to

... Read moreYou know that feeling when the calendar says one thing, but your soul is screaming for another? That's exactly me, stuck in July but absolutely convinced it's time for autumn! Honestly, when I see a reminder like "call me when fall is here," I just nod in agreement. Who else is with me on this? It’s never too early to start embracing those glorious fall aesthetic vibes. For me, creating an autumn aesthetic early is all about engaging the senses. My apartment is slowly transforming into a cozy fall sanctuary. I've already swapped out some bright summer throw pillows for richer, warmer tones – think deep oranges, burgundies, and forest greens. Fairy lights are making a comeback to add that soft, inviting glow. And let's not forget the power of scent! I've officially lit my first pumpkin spice candle of the season. It instantly makes the whole place feel like an autumn dream, even when the sun is blazing outside. There's just something about that pumpkin spice aesthetic that brings so much comfort. Even if I can't wear my favorite chunky knit sweaters just yet, I'm definitely planning my fall wardrobe. I'm eyeing some lovely caramel-colored cardigans and dreaming of ankle boots. For now, it's about incorporating those autumn colors into my summer outfits – a deep red scarf or an olive green bag. Small changes make a big difference in cultivating that overall aesthetic fall feeling. It's a way to mentally prepare and get excited for what's to come. And of course, food! I've officially started my pumpkin spice journey. Whether it's a homemade pumpkin bread or that first iced PSL of the season, it's all part of creating that delicious pumpkin aesthetic. I find that cooking with autumn ingredients – like apples, squash, and extra cinnamon – helps me feel connected to the season, no matter the actual date. It’s a little treat that brings so much joy. Beyond the aesthetics of sight, smell, and taste, it's about the feeling. I'm already planning my ultimate fall reading list and envisioning cozy nights in with a hot drink and a good book. Even a crisp morning walk, pretending the air is cooler than it actually is, fits into my early autumn aesthetic. It's about cultivating that sense of warmth and comfort, finding those little moments of peace and anticipation that truly define the season. For me, embracing the autumn aesthetic early is a form of self-care. It brings a sense of comfort and nostalgia, even before the leaves start to change. It's about making the most of every moment and allowing ourselves to enjoy the things that bring us joy. So, if your brain is also shouting 'fall!' in the middle of summer, I say lean into it! Let's make every day feel a little bit more like our favorite season. Who knows, maybe if enough of us wish for it, fall will arrive even sooner!
