Morning check-in during recovery.

Healing today.

Resting when I need to.

Grateful for another morning.

Recovery is slow, but progress is still progress.

Today I’m focusing on small things — eating a little more, resting, and letting my body do the work of healing.

God isn’t done with me yet. 🤍

... Read moreRecovering from any physical or emotional challenge can often feel like a slow journey, but it’s important to acknowledge and celebrate every small victory. From my own recovery experience, I’ve found that starting each morning by checking in with myself helps set a positive tone for the day. This involves being gentle with myself, recognizing that healing is not always linear, and appreciating the moments of rest and nourishment I can provide my body. One practice that has personally made a difference is focusing on mindful eating, even if it’s just a little more than the previous day. Proper nutrition fuels the healing process and helps build strength gradually. Rest has been equally crucial—listening attentively to my body’s signals to slow down rather than push too hard. Gratitude also plays a powerful role in recovery. Taking a moment each morning to be thankful for waking up and the chance to heal changes my mindset and fosters hope. It reminds me that even on tough days, progress is being made, no matter how small. For anyone on a similar journey, I encourage patience and kindness toward yourself. Accept that healing is a process, not a race. Celebrate the small wins, be consistent with your self-care routines, and hold onto hope that better days are ahead. Remember, recovery might be slow, but every step forward counts.
