... Read moreLiving with autoimmune and chronic illnesses is often an unpredictable journey. Through my own experience during Autoimmune Awareness Month, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of acknowledging each symptom, whether it’s migraine days, relentless fatigue, or chronic pain. I’ve found that recognizing these challenges openly can help reduce the feeling of isolation many of us face. Managing symptoms like autoimmune flares and chronic pain requires patience and adaptation. There are days when the fatigue can be overwhelming, but each step forward, no matter how small, is progress. Healing isn’t linear; it involves setbacks and breakthroughs. I’ve learned to listen carefully to my body and prioritize self-care on harder days while celebrating the victories when my energy or pain levels improve. Community support also plays a crucial role in this journey. Engaging with others who share these invisible illnesses has empowered me to share tips, coping strategies, and encouragement. Whether it’s through online forums or local support groups, connecting with fellow spoonies reminds us that our symptoms are real, our struggles valid, and our healing journeys shared. Ultimately, raising awareness in March helps combat the invisibility of these conditions. By educating others about common symptoms—like migraines, flares, and chronic pain—we foster empathy and understanding. I encourage anyone living with an autoimmune disease or chronic illness to add their voice, share their symptoms, and continue this vital conversation around invisible illness.

Medication is the BARE MINIMUM you can do to manage your autoimmune disease.
Let’s break this down. Autoimmune medications (like Methotrexate, Medrol, Plaquenil) deplete nutrients your body desperately needs to calm inflammation, rebuild tissue, and keep flares at bay. So if you’re feeling exhausted, inflamed, or like you're “doing everything right” with no relief… You migh
