Easy Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu

This Crispy Chicken Cordon Bleu is one of those meals that feels fancy but is actually super easy to make! 🤩 Juicy chicken, savory ham, melty Swiss cheese, and the most irresistible crunchy coating… finished with a creamy mustard sauce. Absolute comfort food perfection! 🧀🍗

What You Need

✅ 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

✅ 8 thin slices ham

✅ 8 oz Swiss cheese (sliced or shredded)

✅ Salt and freshly ground black pepper

✅ 3 cups corn flakes cereal, crushed (or breadcrumbs)

✅ 6 Tbsp butter, melted

✅ 1 cup mayonnaise

✅ 1–2 tsp yellow mustard

Instructions

1️⃣ Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally. Place between plastic wrap and pound thin and even.

2️⃣ Top each piece with ham and Swiss cheese, then roll tightly, tucking the sides in.

3️⃣ Wrap each roll in plastic wrap (tootsie-roll style) and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

4️⃣ Preheat oven to 400°F. Unwrap chicken and season with salt and pepper.

5️⃣ Pulse cornflakes into crumbs and place in a shallow dish. Add melted butter to another dish.

6️⃣ Dip chicken rolls in butter, then coat in cornflake crumbs, pressing gently to stick.

7️⃣ Place on a greased baking sheet and bake about 30 minutes, until chicken reaches 160°F.

8️⃣ Stir mayonnaise and mustard together to make the sauce and serve with the chicken.
