Sourdough CC cookies 💗

Hey y’all!! Here’s the recipe for the sourdough chocolate chip cookies!

1 cup (2x 8 tbsp sticks) browned butter

2 egg yolks

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup packed brown sugar

2/3 cup granulated sugar

140g sourdough discard, unfed

340g AP flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1.5c chocolate chips, semisweet

Flaky sea salt (for sprinkling)

STEPS !!

1. Brown butter in a pot on med-low heat until brown, stirring frequently. Transfer to heat proof bowl to let cool.

2. Once the butter is cool, add the egg yolks, vanilla, and both types of sugar. Once whisked together, add SD discard and whisk.

3. In a separate bowl combine flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir together, then slowly add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.

4. Once well combined (I mix with clean hands), add chocolate chips and mix until well incorporated and even through the dough.

5. Refrigerate dough for 30 mins to chill.

6. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 12 minutes or until the edges begin to brown.

7. Let cool (or don’t 😜) before serving.
