Team dos au mur ou face au mur? 👇
When I first started working on my handstand, I always trained with my back against the wall. It felt safe, but my posture looked like a banana—arched and unstable. Then I learned a simple switch: practice facing the wall instead. This shift forced me to engage my core and keep my ribs pulled in, which made my back straighter and alignment stronger. One trick that helped me was placing one foot at hip height to measure the right distance from the wall before kicking up. I pushed hard into the wall with my hands to lift the opposite leg up, keeping my body tight. Recording myself practicing helped me see improvements and tweak my technique. Balancing this way wasn’t easy at first, and I practiced a lot of controlled cartwheel exits to safely come down if I lost balance. Over time, I found this approach built not just strength but better proprioception and body awareness. If you’ve been practicing the traditional back-to-wall handstand but feel stuck, try facing the wall. It might feel harder initially, but it trains the right muscles and posture for a durable, elegant handstand. Don't forget to save your progress and stay consistent—technique beats sheer strength in the art of hand balancing.
