What’s been helping my pcos 🥰

Look ladies…. These three supplements have been a game changer for me and my PCOS symptoms! Before starting to take probiotics and Myo & D Chiro Inositol my hormones were out of control. I had really bad mood swings right before my period, anxiety, digestion issues and insomnia. These three supplements have helped take that almost completely away! I am going to rate them below but honestly… they all play a key role to hormonal balance in my life!

1) Probiotic- this supplement helps to balance the good and bad bacteria in your gut. Which helps to keep your PH balanced not only in your stomach but in your lady bits too. Trust me the random times I have skipped a day, I felt it immediately!

2)Myo & D-Chiro Inositol: Myo Inositol helps the body with its use of glucose. D-Chiro improves insulin signaling, which in turn helps to restore insulin levels in those who are resistant. Helps to alleviate facial hair, acne and occasional hair loss!

3)Magnesium Glycinate- helps your body regulate nerve and muscle function, blood sugar levels and inflammation! Basically, I am able to relax and get a good nights sleep without being woken up in the middle of a deep sleep in excruciating pain from muscle spasms! 💪🏾

The ginger tea is self-explanatory! Drink it ate night to help kick that digestion in gear before you lay down at night. Your stomach will thank you. I promise. Just to don’t make more than one tea bag… it has a pepper spice to it that can taste a bit crazy.

... Read moreWhen I first learned I had PCOS, one of the most frustrating symptoms for me was how it affected my skin. Beyond the internal struggles with hormones and energy, dealing with stubborn hormonal acne, unwanted facial hair, and sometimes even dark spots left me feeling incredibly self-conscious. It felt like a constant battle, and finding remedies that truly worked for my skin, especially considering its unique needs, was a real journey. As I’ve shared, Myo & D-Chiro Inositol has been a cornerstone for my hormonal balance. What many don't realize is just how much this impacts your skin! High androgen levels, a common feature of PCOS, are often the culprits behind persistent acne, oily skin, and hirsutism—that pesky facial hair growth. By improving insulin sensitivity, inositols help to reduce these androgen levels. For me, this meant seeing a noticeable decrease in breakouts, especially around my chin and jawline, and a slower, finer regrowth of facial hair. It wasn't an overnight miracle, but consistent use truly made a difference in calming my skin down from the inside out, helping to alleviate symptoms of PCOS that appear on your skin. My gut health journey with probiotics also had a surprising benefit for my complexion. Our gut and skin are intricately linked, often referred to as the 'gut-skin axis.' When your gut flora is out of whack, it can lead to systemic inflammation, which shows up on your skin as redness, irritation, and breakouts. By balancing the good and bad bacteria, my probiotics helped to calm this internal inflammation. I noticed my skin looked less reactive, and even my overall tone seemed more even, helping with PH balance. It's like giving your skin a clearer foundation to build upon, supporting healthy digestion and overall gut health. And let's not forget Magnesium Glycinate! While I initially took this Magnesium supplement for sleep and muscle spasms, its role in stress reduction and inflammation has profound effects on skin. Stress is a huge trigger for PCOS flares, and when I'm stressed, my skin definitely shows it. Magnesium helps regulate my nervous system, leading to better sleep and less overall stress. When I'm well-rested and less stressed, my skin is less prone to angry breakouts and looks much healthier. It’s a gentle yet powerful way to support skin resilience. While these supplements work wonders internally, a thoughtful external skincare routine is equally important, especially when managing PCOS-related skin concerns. I've learned that consistency and gentleness are key. For cleansing, I opt for mild, hydrating cleansers that don't strip my skin. Followed by a good moisturizer, even if your skin is oily, as hydration is crucial for a healthy skin barrier. One area I've paid special attention to is addressing hyperpigmentation, which can be more stubborn for those with darker skin after acne breakouts or inflammation. Incorporating ingredients like Vitamin C serum in the mornings helps brighten and even out skin tone. Niacinamide is another fantastic ingredient that helps with inflammation, reduces pore appearance, and improves skin barrier function. And, of course, daily sunscreen is non-negotiable! It's the best defense against post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from worsening and helps your skin heal without leaving dark marks. Finally, remember that diet plays a role too. Reducing processed foods, refined sugars, and sometimes even dairy can significantly reduce inflammation throughout your body, including your skin. It’s about building a holistic approach, where internal support from these hormone and gut health supplements meets external care and mindful lifestyle choices. It takes time and patience, but seeing my skin improve has been incredibly empowering on my PCOS journey.
