I am that mom.

The one with the snacks.

Need a granola bar? Check my shirt.

Fruit snacks? Left pocket.

Crackers? Somewhere between the lint, chapstick, and my last remaining ounce of sanity.

I don’t carry a purse anymore. I carry a walking convenience store… in my T-shirt.

If a child whispers, “I’m hungry,” they don’t even ask where the snacks are. They just walk over to me like I’m a vending machine that runs on caffeine and exhaustion.

My shirts have held Goldfish, gummies, crackers, receipts, tiny rocks, random screws, and enough crushed pretzels to feed a small village.

Motherhood isn’t glamorous. It’s discovering a stale fruit snack in your shirt at 9 p.m. and thinking, “Sweet… I forgot I had this.”

So yes… I have the snack shirts. They’re not a fashion statement. They’re a survival strategy.

... Read moreBeing a mom who always has snacks on hand is more than just a funny quirk—it's a genuine parenting lifesaver. Over the years, I've learned that having easy access to snacks not only keeps my kids happy but saves many situations from turning into full-blown meltdowns. Whether at a fair, a long car ride, or simply running errands, offering a quick nibble makes a huge difference. One unexpected benefit I've found is how snack shirts double as a conversation starter among other parents—they get it! This shared experience creates small moments of camaraderie in the chaos of child-rearing. Plus, it’s amusing to discover the random treasures that accumulate throughout the day in those pockets, from crushed pretzels to tiny rocks. Also, the 'walking convenience store' approach helps teach my children a bit of independence. They know where to find a treat without always asking, which subtly encourages responsibility. Of course, I’ve had to balance healthy options with the tempting, sugary ones, so over time I stocked up on granola bars, fruit snacks, and crackers that are both kid-friendly and convenient to carry. In essence, these snack shirts symbolize more than just food storage; they represent preparedness, patience, and the small acts of love that keep parenting manageable. So if you’re a snack mom or dad too, embrace it! Your kids and your sanity will thank you. And when a child quietly whispers “I’m hungry,” you can smile, knowing you’re always ready to save the day.

Unhealthy things I am unlearning as a mom 🌸
Being a good mom is my top priority. 1. Punishing emotions. I will not get my daughter in trouble for yelling at me, crying, or anything else. If you were crying and somebody told you you have no reason to be, or that they’ll give you a reason to cry, how would you feel? Worse? 2. Shaming.
