Watch my face change as I lose 170lbs!

One of the things that touches me the most about losing weight is seeing my true face for the first time in about 15 years. It’s not necessarily about feeling more beautiful, even though I do. It’s about getting reacquainted with my face and who I knew myself to be before I gained so much weight. Losing the physical weight has made my life better in so many ways…but now, getting to see myself and my features again…it’s worth celebrating. Because the 18 year old girl who uncontrollable started gaining weight, all the way to the 31 year old who fought to not lose hope, deserved to be loved and celebrated.

And so do you—whether or not you have lost or gained weight. Your body is trying to protect you in a lot of ways. When I approached my body with thankfulness for doing the best it could, I was able to lose weight in a psychologically safe way.

In addition to the inner work I did with therapy, I also have been thankful to have gotten medical intervention with a GLP1. It made creating better habits so much easier. And it helps me feel like a normal person.

If you’re on your own journey—whatever that looks like—I am 100% rooting for you. Take this journey in love.
