what’s been helping my PCOS 🥹

what I’ve been doing to feel better ↴

1. Saw a functional practitioner & got all of my blood work done!! I was deficient in vitamin D, B vitamins, high LDL, low HDL, low progesterone, estrogen dominant, high androgens, + my LH & FSH ratio was flipped (indicator of PCOS)! Knowing this I’ve been able to target my diet & supplements to balance these deficiencies instead or just guessing what I needed to do

2. Reducing stress & heal trauma!! This is honestly the hardest part … I’m learning how to ground myself, regulate my nervous system, process emotions, and chill tf out 😂

3. Supplements have helped me balance cortisol, reduce androgens, balance estrogen, balance cholesterol, and correct my vitamin deficiencies!!

4. Balancing blood sugar is very underrated but sooo important to PCOS! I do apple cider vinegar shots before meals, deceased my carb intake, go on walks after meals, & NOT having sugary lattes on an empty stomach!

5. Reducing toxins to support my liver! I’ve swapped my non stick pans to ceramic, got a carbon water filter, reduced plastic use, swapped my lip products to non toxic, & I use castor oil on my liver nightly to support detoxification!

so grateful I was able to get diagnosed with PCOS and make real progress!!

Hope this helps you on your journey 🫶🏻

... Read morePolycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can be a challenging condition, but with a systematic approach, many find relief and regain control of their health. Understanding your body's specific needs through blood work, like checking hormone levels and vitamin deficiencies, is crucial for targeted treatment. Common deficiencies such as vitamin D and B vitamins can significantly impact hormonal health. Alongside nutritional adjustments, incorporating stress management practices can facilitate healing, as emotional and psychological health often intertwine with physical conditions. Emphasizing the importance of blood sugar regulation is vital for those with PCOS. Techniques such as using apple cider vinegar and being mindful of carbohydrate intake can help stabilize glucose levels, which in turn reduces symptoms. Furthermore, minimizing exposure to toxins through lifestyle changes, such as switching to ceramic cookware and opting for non-toxic personal care products, can support liver function and reduce overall body burden. Ultimately, a comprehensive approach that includes nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle choices can lead to improvement in symptoms and a better quality of life.

Can you maybe expand on the estrogen dominance? Or provide more insight into how that differs from average PCOS? 🤗
