My running progress ✨

You could ask anyone who knows me I was the last person to call myself a runner! But today I was able to run 20 minutes straight! Almost 2 miles!!! I’m super proud of my progress and have learned that timed runs work for me rather than distances. Here’s to more running and hitting my next goal of a 10K! 🎉🤩

... Read moreAs more people embrace running for fitness, the importance of tracking progress cannot be overstated. Studies suggest that focusing on timed runs rather than distance can optimize training results, especially for beginners. This approach helps runners build endurance and confidence without the pressure of hitting specific mile markers. Moreover, setting achievable goals is crucial in any fitness journey. Aiming for a 10K is a fantastic milestone and provides a clear target to work towards. Training plans often recommend incorporating interval runs and cross-training to enhance performance and reduce the risk of injury. Keeping a training log can also help track heart rate, pace, and distance, guiding runners in tuning their workouts for maximum effect. Engaging in running communities, either online or offline, provides encouragement and accountability. Platforms like Lemon8 and social media allow sharing progress and connecting with likeminded individuals. Utilizing hashtags such as #running, #bodytransformation, and #inmyrunningera can foster supportive connections to motivate and inspire. If you’re also on a running journey, share your story and let’s inspire one another towards our fitness goals! 🚀🏃‍♂️
