mom hot take: why can’t moms be nice!??
i’ve noticed some creators are consistently talking about being nice to one another, teaching our children about kindness to everyone, but being completely different in this challenge.
yes it just a challenge, but being mean and rude for likes is weird. and i think it really shows people’s true colors. we’re all about posting things of kindness and teaching our kids kindness, and yet we’re acting like insane women on the internet. (and yes im the first to say me too, but two wrongs don’t make a right)
as a mom: i’ll teach my kids certain things and that’s okay. people don’t have to agree with it! but that also doesn’t mean we have to be nasty and rude. as creators part of a group, i feel like that’s painting such a horrible look.
as a group of moms - we should be a safe space for all kinds of moms with different beliefs. and we should truly live up to what we post on this app. instead of saying one thing and acting like another.
It's really frustrating to see many moms preach kindness and teaching children to be nice, yet act completely differently, especially during online challenges where people sometimes turn mean just to get likes. I've noticed that these moments reveal the true colors of individuals, showing a disconnect between the positive messages shared and the harsh behaviors displayed. It's important for moms, especially creators who influence others, to remember that while it's okay to have our own beliefs and opinions, we don't have to be rude or nasty to express them. Moms should work together to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels supported, regardless of differing viewpoints. This means practicing what we preach—modeling kindness not only for our children but also for each other within the community. The app challenges can become toxic and political, but they also offer an opportunity: to reflect on how we treat one another and strive to be better. Let’s aim to lift up fellow moms rather than compete or tear each other down. True kindness requires authenticity—walking the talk and showing respect even when we disagree. It's about building a positive mom tribe where support, empathy, and understanding prevail. By fostering genuine encouragement instead of judgment or meanness, we can set a powerful example for the next generation and transform our online communities into places of warmth and acceptance. In the end, kindness isn't just a lesson for kids—it's a vital, ongoing commitment among moms to help each other thrive.
