Creamy Foamy Heavenly Matcha☁️🍵
Spring is the season of slow mornings and soft light. ✨ There is something so grounding about the ritual of whisking matcha—the sound, the color, and that perfect, thick foam.
I’ve spent a lot of time perfecting my ratio, and this "extra creamy" version is my current obsession. It’s the ultimate "that girl" energy to start the day. 🍵
The Ingredients
• The Base: 2–3 scoops of ceremonial grade matcha
• The Liquid: Filtered warm water (not boiling!)
• The Milk: Almond milk (or your favorite creamy alternative)
• The 3-2-1 Cold Foam: 3 parts Milk, 2 parts Creamer (or Half & Half), 1 part Vanilla Syrup
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prep the Whisk: Soak your wooden whisk in warm water for a few minutes to soften the bristles.
2. The Matcha Paste: Sift 2–3 scoops of matcha into your bowl. Add just a tiny bit of warm water and whisk until a smooth, thick paste forms.
3. The Froth: Add more hot water and whisk in a vigorous "W" motion until you have a beautiful, foamy layer.
4. The Cold Foam: In a separate cup, combine your milk, creamer, and vanilla syrup. Froth until it’s thick and cloud-like.
5. Assembly: Fill your favorite glass with ice. Pour in your almond milk until it's about halfway full, add the whisked matcha, and top it all off with that decadent cold foam.
My Personal Tips
• Don't Skip the Paste: Making the paste first ensures you don't get those tiny bitter clumps at the bottom of the glass.
• Temperature Control: Keep your water around 80°C (175°F) so you don't burn the delicate tea leaves!
Flavor Pairing Suggestions
• This goes beautifully with a fresh almond croissant or a bowl of tart raspberries to balance the sweet vanilla foam. 🍓
