Getting a head start on fall baking with this rich, decadent chocolate chip pumpkin bread! Topped with a buttery streusel and finished with a maple glaze—this cozy treat is a must. 🍂✨

INGREDIENTS:

Pumpkin Bread:

- 1/2 cup melted butter

- 1 cup brown sugar

- 15 oz can of 100% pumpkin puree

- 2 large eggs

- 1/2 tsp ground ginger

- 2 tsp ground cinnamon

- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 1 tsp butter & nut or vanilla extract

- 1½ cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup walnuts

- 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Streusel Topping:

- 6 tbsp melted butter

- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- dusting of ground cinnamon

Glaze:

- 1 cup powdered sugar

- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 tbsp maple syrup

- 1 tbsp milk (add an additional splash of milk if the glaze is too thick)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1️⃣ In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, pumpkin, eggs, spices, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and walnuts until just combined. Don't over mix.

2️⃣ Spread batter evenly in a greased appropriately sized loaf pan and set aside. For the streusel, combine melted butter, flour, and brown sugar. Sprinkle evenly over the bread batter. Sprinkle a dusting of cinnamon over the streusel before baking.

3️⃣ Bake for 55-60 minutes in a 350℉ preheated oven. An inserted knife or toothpick should come out clean.

4️⃣ For the glaze, mix together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and milk. If the glaze is too thick, mix in an additional splash of milk. Drizzle over warm bread and let set before slicing.
