Dubai chocolate brownies 🤎
Brownies:
½ cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Kataifi filling:
3 tbsp butter
2 cups kataifi pastry
½ cup pistachio cream
Chocolate topping:
Melting chocolate wafers (can use any type of chocolate)
Optional: Pistachio cream drizzle
Optional: crushed pistachio nuts
1. Preheat oven to 350° and line a 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
3. Add all the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder. Stir until just combined.
4. Optional: mix in the chocolate chips. Batter will be thick.
5. Gently pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30. Let cool for 20-30 minutes.
6. For the kataifi filling, add the butter to a non stick pan over medium- high heat.
7. Once butter is melted, add the kataifi pastry and sauté for about 8-10 minutes.
8. Add the pistachio cream and mix until well combined.
9. Let cool for about 10 minutes.
10. In the mean time, melt chocolate wafers in the microwave in 30 second intervals.
11. Add kataifi mixture on top of the brownies. Spread evenly.
12. Pour melted chocolate on top of kataifi mixture. Spread evenly.
13. Optional: add pistachio cream and pistachio nuts on top.
14. Place the pan in the fridge for chocolate to set. Enjoy 🤎
