Self care haul- neurodivergent edition🤍💋

Hi I’m Kat I’m diagnosed BPD, adhd, alongside a few other things and have a year wait for autism testing along with starting the process of my neuropsych testing at the recommendation of my therapist of 2 years :).

For me when it comes to self care Ive had struggles keeping up a routine. I’ll either hyperfocus and do too much at once and burn myself out or not do any and then it’s a cycle.

Recently however I’ve been getting into a routine that’s good for me for the first time like…ever…in my 22 years🥳🎉but I wanted to add a few items to my self care “arsenal” that either enhanced my overall experience with self care/hygiene that also were sensory friendly.

Products 🛍️🛒:

💫Smelly handsanitizers- 💫

I personally love lavender it helps calm me + they have my perfume scent so I had to get that for the 6/$10 🤩💕

🌟Men’s Halloween Body Spray🌟

So I’ve always been more androgynous and I tried to hide it by going hyper feminine so I’m branching out and got this and I’m soooo happy with it especially if you put on a spritz of “Into the Night” on with it 😮‍💨👍

⭐️Wristlets⭐️

My WORST nightmare is having water run down my arms while washing my face 😡💢 BUT… now 😼I’ll never have to worry about that again thanks to these very soft, plush, and pleasant feeling absorbent wristlets with frogs on them to match my Claire’s frog headband

✨Freezer eye patches✨

So ya know I be crying cause of the #borderlinepersonalitydisorder and when you have a #migraine or more on a daily basis ya know ya gotta have these bad boys. PLUS they’re cats and #halloween themeeeeedddd!

... Read moreSelf-care is critical for maintaining mental health, especially for neurodivergent individuals who may face unique challenges. Establishing a routine can be difficult, but incorporating sensory-friendly products can help. For instance, using lavender-scented hand sanitizers promotes calmness and a sense of comfort. Likewise, exploring fragrances in body sprays that resonate with personal identity encourages positive self-expression. Products like absorbent wristlets can help avoid discomfort during face washing, adding convenience to daily rituals. Freezer eye patches also offer relief for migraine sufferers, making self-care both relaxing and practical. These themed patches can add a playful element to your routine, especially for those who appreciate a bit of fun in their self-care. Overall, the right products can make a significant difference in how self-care is approached, fostering a more enjoyable and less overwhelming experience for neurodivergent individuals.
