When preparing quinoa fried rice at home, I like to start by cooking the quinoa separately until it’s fluffy, then letting it cool so it fries better and absorbs the flavors of your seasonings. You can customize your dish by adding your favorite vegetables such as peas, carrots, bell peppers, or spinach. For extra protein, scrambled eggs or tofu can be an excellent addition. The key to a great quinoa fried rice is controlling the heat and using a good amount of oil so the quinoa gets a slightly crispy texture. Seasoning with soy sauce or tamari, a splash of sesame oil, and fresh garlic or ginger enhances the taste, making it savory and aromatic. If you’re aiming for a gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan meal, quinoa fried rice fits perfectly. It also reheats well, making it a convenient meal prep option.
